poThe parliamentary fraction of UDAR intends to raise the question about Oleksandr Turchynov’s resignation from the posts of acting speaker of the Verkhovna Rada and acting President of Ukraine.

Serhiy Kaplin spoke about this in the lobby of the Parliament, Interfax-Ukrayina reports. The Klitschko party wants these posts to be filled by independent national deputy Petro Poroshenko.

“I think that a resolute historical decision should be made today about choosing of the most preferred presidential candidate, who is winning in the first round in all sociological polls, including even the Kremlin’s, for acting president and acting speaker of the parliament,” Kaplin said.

According to Kaplin, the fraction of UDAR party will raise this question at the meeting on Tuesday.  “It will be a test for the presidential candidate (Poroshenko – edit.) of his ability to take the reins in the country under the current conditions,” he said.

Previously, UDAR  leader Vitaliy Klitschko ended his candidacy in the presidential race in favor of Poroshenko. Before this they had a secret meeting with the oligarch Dmytro Firtash in Vienna where he has been expecting a court ruling on extradition to the U.S.
