DMITRY TYMCHUK: Reasons for delay in transfer of ships back to Ukraine
Translated and edited by Voices of Ukraine
According to Information Resistance operational data, the Russian delivery of another group of Ukrainian Navy ships, captured in Crimea, back to Ukraine was delayed not on account of a storm warning as was announced by some media.
In fact, according to our data, Russia has delayed the transfer of the ships due to demands made by Sevastopol shipyards that the Ukrainian Defense Ministry repay the debt for ship repairs made in the preceding years.
A request from the Sevastopol Ship Repairers, as well as equipment production partners in Belarus, was delivered to the self-proclaimed “Crimean Government,” and that is when transfer of the ships was blocked.
