“Luhansk People’s Republic” in action

Ukrainian border guards detained a Russian citizen who tried to return to Russia after becoming disillusioned with the so-called Luhansk People’s Republic, reports Espreso TV, citing the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, May 26.

According to the Border Guard Service, the Russian citizen was detained in the Biryukove area in the Luhansk Oblast. He was attempting to return home by bypassing the Dovzhansky checkpoint and tried to slip through the border unnoticed. However, the border guards of the Luhansk detachment immediately found and detained him.

During the interrogation, it became clear the man had come to Ukraine in early April 2014 in order to participate in the battle with “the illegal Kyiv government” and the “Right Sector.”

“However, during his stay in Ukraine, the Russian, who had previously served in the Russian Interior Ministry units, explained that in Luhansk and the Luhansk Oblast, thugs, drunks, and former prisoners are really in control, who do not care whom they kill.” the border guards said.

In addition, the detainee reported that in the occupied SBU (Security Service of Ukraine) building in Luhansk there are great quantities of weapons, ranging from PM pistols, AK-47 assault rifles, RPK and PK machine guns, and SVD sniper rifles and ending with the RPG rocket-propelled grenade launchers, “Mukha,” and RDG and F-1 hand grenades.
