Russian mercenary arrested in Kramatorsk

On June 13, the Security Service of Ukraine arrested a citizen “D” (alias Sevyer), an active member of the terrorist organization “People’s Republic of Donetsk” and an accomplice of the terrorist Igor Bezler (alias Bez), reports the ministry’s press service on its website, June 16.

It has been established that “D” is a resident of the Donetsk area and arrived in Kyiv with the goal of destabilizing the situation in the capital. According to the suspect, the terrorists leader “Bez” gave him the assignment to create a series of sabotage activities at the city’s energy and water utility sites in order to divert attention from events in the east of Ukraine. Russian troops are in Ukraine and at the border, says security chief

Russia continues to supply arms and militants to Eastern Ukraine, but Ukrainian forces are closing off the border, said the Secretary of the National Security Council Andriy Parubiy at a press briefing, June 16, reports Ukrainska Pravda.

“In reality, the Russian military invasion is continuing, and we are dealing with Russian invaders. The Russian army is arming the militants and deploying them in great numbers to the East of our country,” he said. Continue reading

Donbas civilians forced to join terrorist militias



In the village of Dmytrivka, in the Shakhtarsky district, 50 men have been mobilized by terrorist militias under threat of execution, reports Espreso TV, June 15, citing Censor.

“I’m a resident of Donbas, namely from the Shakhtarsky district, village of Dmytrivka. On June 14, in the evening around 17:00, ‘our brothers,’ namely Chechens, started going through our village and forcibly taking into their army men aged 16 to 65. Anyone who refused was threatened with being shot. Women gathered together and protested, but they ignored it, to put it mildly, and said that all the men joined voluntarily,” Tetyana, wife of one the “mobilized” men in Dmytrivka told the news source Podrobnosti, Espreso reports. Journalist warns embassy violence serves Russia’s interests

Journalist Vitaliy Portnikov is calling for an examination of events that took place near the Russian Embassy in Kyiv on Saturday, June 14, in a statement posted on his Facebook page, reports Espreso TV.

“Anybody who feels hidden malevolent satisfaction with what is happening near the Russian embassy in Kyiv should consider who is benefitting from the fact that the main news item on TV channels worldwide will be coverage of that event, and not the tragedy of the Ukrainian plane in Luhansk and the evidence of the Russian origin of the weapons discovered in the southeast. Let him think of the fate of our compatriots, the diplomats of Ukraine who are working in Moscow and other cities of Russia. Russian terrorists using hostages as human shields

Military captives will be placed on the roofs of buildings seized by terrorists in Horlivka, including the police administration building and the building of the Department for Combating Organized Crime, in order to prevent airstrikes by Ukraine’s military. The order was issued on Saturday, June 14, by the commander of the Horlivka terrorist garrison Igor Bezler (alias Bez), reports the website, citing Horlivka citizen Vasyl Budik, who has been in captivity for 44 days. According to Budik, the captives will be used as “human shields” and countermeasures against possible future airstrikes. Continue reading

Ukraine preparing for gas shutoff on Monday


Ukraine is preparing for a complete gas shutoff on Monday, June 16, as well as the interruption of gas transit to Europe. The announcement was made by the head of Naftogaz of Ukraine Andriy Kobolyev, reports Espreso TV, June 14.

“We’re preparing for the worst-case scenario, a full zero,” Kobolyev stated on TV channel 24.

On Friday, June 13,  Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk instructed the appropriate ministries, the leadership of Naftogaz of Ukraine, and the oblast state authorities to switch to the plan of operation to be implemented in case Russia suspends gas delivery on Monday, the government  press service stated, June 13, as reported by Espreso TV. President declares day of mourning for Ukraine’s military


The President of Ukraine has expressed his deep condolences to the families of the fallen Ukrainian soldiers and border guards who died on June 14 while conducting anti-terrorist operations.

“On Sunday I declare a day of mourning for our military. This is a great loss not only for the families of the fallen but for the entire country. Ukraine is grieving, but we will resolutely continue the struggle for peace,” Poroshenko said.

“All those involved in the cynical terrorist attack of this magnitude will be punished without fail. Ukraine needs peace. However, the terrorists will receive a proper response,” he said.

The President is convening a meeting of the National Security and Defense. He has instructed the Cabinet to provide assistance to the families of the deceased.


Ukraine gives Russia 48 hours to return abducted orphans

Ukraine’s Ministry of Justice, together with human rights representatives, is appealing to the European Court of Human Rights regarding the illegal abduction and transfer to the Russian Federation of orphaned children. Additionally, Ukraine has given Russia 48 hours to return the abducted children, said the Minister of Justice Pavlo Petrenko during a Cabinet briefing, as reported on the Ministry’s website, June 13.
