The Chinese company Beijing Interoceanic Canal Investment Management Company (BICIM) denied media reports that it has renewed negotiations with Russian and Crimean authorities to build a deepwater port in Crimea, Ukrinform reports, May 30, citing BICIM management.
“In recent days certain media outlets, without obtaining an official statement from our company, have published false information on our company’s project in Crimea…Given well-known reasons, our company is temporarily halting work on the project and is not planning to resume it for now.,” BICIM representatives told Ukrinform.
