The leader of the Crimean Tatar nation Mustafa Dzhemilev intends to plead with the European Human Rights court should the occupational government of Crimea fail to free him from jail.
Any serious social disruption is inevitably followed with a wave of crime. Prosecutor General of Ukraine together with the Department of Combating with Organized Crime of Ukraine and MIA of Ukraine carried out a search of 3 Kyiv’s apartments, as well as offices, belonging to the former Minister of Energy of Ukraine Eduard Stavytskiy.
They have found $5 million in cash, 42 kg of pure gold, jewellery and a dozen of expensive watches. As an example, the price of the watch belonging to the former Minister of Energy of Ukraine Eduard Stavytskiy (photo below), is MUCH higher than his salary. Continue reading

On Thursday, the EU has published the list of Ukrainian officials against whom sanctions were applied and accounts of which are now frozen in banks of Europe. Europe is freezing the accounts of ex-president Viktor Yanukovych, his sons Olexandr and Victor, as well as heads of security agencies, the Cabinet of Ministers and the Presidential Administration.
The reason for the inclusion of all of these former officials to the list is that they are already defendants in the case of embezzling funds from the Ukrainian budget and withdrawing it from the country. The men responsible for the abduction of activists Ihor Lutsenko and Yuriy Verbytsky have been detained by the principal investigative unit of the Ministry of Interior Affairs, the acting Minister of Interior Affairs Arsen Avakov announced on his Facebook page.
“The main investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has arrested the immediate perpetrators of the abduction of Ihor Lutsenko and the murder of Yuriy Verbitsky,” he stated. Continue reading
