More Russian terrorists arrive in Ukraine

Some two hundred armed commandos have arrived in the city of Lysychansk in the Luhansk Oblast from Russia and one of the states of Central Asia, UNN reports, June 11, citing Luhansk police sources. According to the sources, the armed men do not hide their nationality

“According to preliminary information, almost two hundred men have arrived. Those with Slavic appearance state they have arrived from the Krasnodar region (in Russia). Others are Asiatic in appearance. According to preliminary information, they are from Kazakhstan. They came to Lysychansk immediately after the capture of the district prosecutor’s office by terrorists. All these ‘aliens’ have settled in the prosecutor’s office,” the police sources say. Over 30,000 Shelters Prepared for the Donbas Refugees

According to the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, a database of the locations where people from “critical” regions can move to has been created.

Over 30,000 shelters have been prepared for the refugees from the “critical” regions of Ukraine, as reported by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Vitaliy Yarema before the government meeting.

According to Mr. Yarema, within the last week only around 15,000 refugees fled from Donetsk Oblast. Continue reading

North Luhansk Oblast cleared of terrorists, Turchynov reports

On Tuesday, June 3, during the course of the antiterrorist operation (ATO), the northern part of Luhansk Oblast was completely cleared of terrorists, reports a statement on the official website of the Acting President and Chairman of Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Turchynov.

“The bases and military camps of the militants in this region were destroyed, their  main fortified area in the village of Semenivka was seized, and control over the city of Chervonyy Lyman was established. In addition, the military has begun blocking the borders north and south of the Luhansk Oblast,” the statement says. Continue reading

Ukraine accuses Russia of terrorist attempts on gas pipeline

Ukraine’s government urges Europe to block the South Stream pipeline which would allow Russian gas to bypass Ukraine, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk stated in Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) Tuesday, June 3, reports Ukrainska Pravda.

Of particular concern are statements by several official representatives of the Russian Federation, especially Ramzan Kadyrov, which confirm their intention to continue the practice of strengthening the ranks of terrorists with corresponding Russian special forces. Ukrainians stand in lines to donate blood for soldiers


People came to the Mechnikov Dnipropetrovsk Regional Clinical Hospital on Friday, May 30, as early as 6:00 am to stand in line to donate blood for the wounded soldiers who had taken part in the anti-terrorist operations in the east of the country, reported TV Channel 9.

People began to gather at dawn, answering the call from doctors at the Mechnikov hospital and eager to donate even a drop of blood, which they believe can save the lives of Ukrainian soldiers who are defending Ukraine. Continue reading

Ukrainian border guards detained a Russian citizen who tried to return to Russia after becoming disillusioned with the so-called Luhansk People’s Republic, reports Espreso TV, citing the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, May 26.

According to the Border Guard Service, the Russian citizen was detained in the Biryukove area in the Luhansk Oblast. He was attempting to return home by bypassing the Dovzhansky checkpoint and tried to slip through the border unnoticed. However, the border guards of the Luhansk detachment immediately found and detained him.

Italian journalist killed by terrorists, Tymchuk says

The group Information Resistance believes the deaths of an Italian journalist and his interpreter and the wounding of a French photojournalist in eastern Ukraine resulted from mortar shelling by terrorist groups near Slovyansk.

Information Resistance representative Dmytro Tymchuk, director of the Center of Military and Political Research, commented on the incident on his Facebook, reports Espreso.TV, May 24. According to Tymchuk, the mortar attack on the journalists was carried out near the railway crossing near Slovyansk.
