In Cherkasy, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) arrested a senior officer of a military division training center  that had created an illegal association named ‘National Liberation Movement. Cherkasy’ and called upon a violent overthrow of the acting authorities.

According to Censor.net, the 31 year-old mayor has been seeking out accomplices with the help of social networking sites, through whom he then distributed materials with appeals for mobilization and an armed fight against the acting authorities, as well as the letters with pleas to the military to retain from executing the orders given by their commanders. SBU Finds Accounts for Financing Terrorists and Unrest

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) found and shut down a financial source that would be used for organizing massive unrest and terrorist actions. The announcement comes from the SBU.

“Through the bank accounts of Odesa citizen Z, there was an attempt to transfer 3.93 million hryvnyas to a commercial structure in Kyiv, as one-way financial assistance,” the SBU stated.

According to the SBU, the money was to be used for organizing massive unrest and terrorist actions. “The person’s bank accounts are blocked, and the Service is currently doing its best to find other people involved in these illegal actions. Criminal cases are open, according to p. 3 art. 258-5 “financing terrorism”, and a pre-trial investigation is underway”, SSU stated. Continue reading

SBU detained two preparing a terrorist act in Mykolayiv

Mykolayiv Security Service arrested two persons who were planning explosions on May 9 during the laying of wreaths, reports the press service of the SBU. The detained are two locals, aged 36 and 38 years, who are the leaders of the pro-Russian radical organization “Mykolayiv Resistance”.

Detainees were planning explosions on May 9 during the laying of a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and at the Memorial of the Glory of the Olshantsy Heroes. It has been established that the attackers organized and coordinated the activities of local pro-separatist radicals, as well as ensured their cooperation with the secret police in Russia. SBU intercepted Russia’s scenario for annexing Luhansk Oblast (abridged)

Documents describing Russia’s plan for the annexation of Luhansk Oblast from Ukraine have leaked to Ukrainian security services. The scenario outlined in these documents was developed by Russian political strategists. It involves announcing Luhansk Oblast an independent state after a referendum is conducted.  After that the quasi-state is to join either Russia or Ukraine, but on different conditions than before. The date of the referendum is scheduled for May 11th.

The key point of the intercepted scenario is to declare members of the Luhansk Regional Council outlaws, and in their place the separatists are to form the ruling ‘body’, and to pass the independence acts.

SBU: snipers and radioactive material for a dirty bomb

The State Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) reported on the elimination of a snipers’ nest at the TV Tower in the city of Konstantinivka on May 3. SBU spokesperson Marina Ostapenko reported on it at a briefing in the Anti-Terrorist Center.

According to Ostapenko, during the operation the Alpha special unit was resisted by a group of gunmen twice its size. “We have injured officers. The SBU has established the identity of ‘Abwehr’, whom I had mentioned this morning (he was supposed to take over command from ‘Strelok’). 

According to information from the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the subversive who went under the callsign of Abwehr is a citizen of Russia (he also has a Ukrainian passport), Serhiy Anatoliyevych Zdryliuk.

Born June 23, 1972 in Vinnytsia Oblast. Resided in Crimea for a long time. There he went through special training in a Russian camp, and on April 12, 2014, he came with Strelok to Donetsk Oblast to take part in subversive operations.

As a member of a group in charge of intelligence and subversion, he attacked SBU agents on April 13. During this attack, one SBU agent was killed and three were wounded.  Continue reading

Russian Military Intelligence Is Recruiting Ukrainians In Crimea – VIDEO with English subs

The Ukrainian security service has arrested one of the separatists. During questioning the arrested person said that in April he was recruited by an employee of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian armed forces during a trip to Crimea.

According to him, anyone could come and join the ranks of the so-called ‘self-defence force’ of Crimea with a subsequent course of preparation at the naval infantry training base near Feodosia. The Security Service of Ukraine has arrested Igor Perepechayenko, Deputy of Sloviansk self-proclaimed Mayor Ponomarev. The SBU Press Center Spokesman Maryna Ostapenko has reported this at a briefing.
