“Alpha”: Our snipers were sent to government buildings

The head of the Ministry of the Interior’s Alpha special forces troops admits that its snipers were sent to the Presidential Administration building, and then to the Cabinet of Ministers building. Volodymyr Chovhaniuk, the head of Alpham discussed the issue at a meeting of the temporary parliamentary commission investigating the shooting of people on Maidan, reports LIGABusinessInform.

Answering the question whether there were snipers deployed on February 20, he said: “On February 20, the Head of the Center received the command to send people to the Administration of the President to protect … I was not present in the AP or in the building of the Cabinet of Ministers. We sent 100 people sent there, including snipers,” he said. Continue reading

Announcement of the Right Sector concerning the events of March 27, 2014

Today on Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv a Viche [people’s assembly] was held on the matter of the counter-revolutionary actions of Interior Minister Arsen Avakov. The main reason for the assembly was the brutal murder of Oleksandr Muzychko, a representative of the Right Sector.

The rally was attended by several thousand people from various organizations, including activists of Maidan, Automaidan, the self-defense, Right Sector, and other organizations.

The rally aimed to demand an urgent lustration of the law enforcement agencies, a just punishment for those guilty of the tragedy on Hrushevskiy and Institutska Str, and resignation of Interior Minister A.Avakov. Maidan’s Viche decided to take the initiative into their own hands, and Right Sector, being the vanguard of the national Revolution, supported the will of the people. Right Sector declares that the picketing of Verkhovna Rada was a precautionary action.

Right Sector opposes seizing the building of Verkhovna Rada. During these events, Right Sector activists held back people that were indignated by the lawless actions of Minister Avakov. Continue reading

Journalist Olga Khudetska lists the names of murdered Maidan activists whose death circumstances do not fit the bounds of the so-called “sniper” version of events.

“As important as the subject of snipers is, it should not serve to cover up hundreds of those who beat people to death with their feet and batons,” writes The Insider journalist Olga Khudetska on her Facebook page.

Prosecutor General: snipers fired from the National Bank

During the shooting on February 20 on Instytutska Street in Kyiv, aimed fire came from the building of the National Bank of Ukraine, said Acting General Prosecutor of Ukraine Oleh Makhnitskiy.

One hundred people were killed during the clashes in Kyiv

The Ministry of Health reports that the number of dead in the clashes in the center of Kyiv has reached one hundred people from November 30, 2013. These are figures given by the Ministry led by former Maidan doctor Oleh Musiy as of 6 a.m. March 6, 2014.

The Ministry of Health reports a person who had been treated in Kyiv municipal clinical hospital №12 since February 28 died on March 5. The ministry doesn’t specify at this moment the number of dead from the protesters’ side and the number of dead from the law enforcement forces’ side.

Starting from 10 a.m. on February 18, 1075 people sought medical assistance from the First Aid teams and hospitals with emergency rooms in Kyiv; 698 have been hospitalized. In particular, as of 6 a.m. March 6, 36 persons had sought medical assistance from the First Aid teams; 22 have been hospitalized. 216 are being treated in Kyiv’s hospitals at this moment. The URL had first appeared in Euromaidan’s twitter in the evening of the day when mass shootings happened in the morning.

Video Proof that Government Snipers Killed More Than 15 Persons in Three Hours

Elise.com.ua is hosting video proof that on Thursday, 20 February, during the exit of law enforcement troops from Instytutska Street, government snipers were shooting at people in Maidan. This can be seen in videos shot by journalist Ihor Zakharchenko and originally posted by Radio Svoboda.

Today at around 9 AM, activists retook positions that were lost on 18 February. Dozens of protesters perished in the clashes.

At least 11 dead bodies on Maidan this morning

As of 11:51, at least 11 people have been killed on Independence Square (Maidan). The dead bodies are being accumulated in front of McDonald’s on Khreshchatyk. Self-defence people  say snipers are entrenched on the rooftops along Kostyolna St. “Just now we witnessed how yet another man and a nurse have been shot on the neck,” they said.
