Terrorists demand payment for leaving Kramatorsk: USD 1,000 for an adult and USD 500 for a child, says Centurion Parasiuk

terrorist moneyRefugees continue arriving from Kramatorsk, mostly families with children. According to the refugees, the terrorists must be paid USD 1,000 per adult and USD 500 per child.

Volodymyr Parasiuk, Maidan Centurion, who is currently in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, reports on Facebook that terrorists are demanding money from people leaving Kramatorsk.

“Mr. Tsariov’s house is being set up to accommodate refugees from the east. Two families have already been settled there. We were also meeting families from Kramatorsk today. Families with children mostly. Some of the men have joined the battalion. They say that terrorists at roadblocks demand money from the refugees. To leave the city, every adult must pay USD 1,000, and USD 500 for a child,” reports Parasiuk. Continue reading

SBU Finds Accounts for Financing Terrorists and Unrest

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) found and shut down a financial source that would be used for organizing massive unrest and terrorist actions. The announcement comes from the SBU.

“Through the bank accounts of Odesa citizen Z, there was an attempt to transfer 3.93 million hryvnyas to a commercial structure in Kyiv, as one-way financial assistance,” the SBU stated.

According to the SBU, the money was to be used for organizing massive unrest and terrorist actions. “The person’s bank accounts are blocked, and the Service is currently doing its best to find other people involved in these illegal actions. Criminal cases are open, according to p. 3 art. 258-5 “financing terrorism”, and a pre-trial investigation is underway”, SSU stated. Continue reading

A journalist for the weekly “Nedelya Plus” Volodymyr Startsev has disappeared in Luhansk, reports Ukrainska Pravda, citing Channel 5, May 17. According to the TV channel, Startsev left the house of his friends, but never made it home. He is not responding to phone calls. Colleagues suspect his disappearance is connected to his professional activities. They say police are searching for him.

Gas Pipeline Damaged as Result of Sabotage, Officials Say

The Uhryni-Pomary-Uzhhorod gas pipeline was damaged at 55 atm and further on a nearby line an explosion took place on May 14 in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. The pipeline transports gas from Bohorodchany County underground storage facility to the compressor station located in Dolyna, both in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. Officials say it appears to be deliberate sabotage. The damage to the trunk line was the result of external actions: there was a huge dent on the external part of the pipeline and an opening that suggests some kind of explosive device. Governor: the terrorist acts may happen in Kharkiv

The Kharkiv Oblast governor held an emergency meeting concerning ways to avoid destabilization in the region.
