The Office of the Prosecutor General is investigating the legitimacy of Viktor Yanukovich’s salaries for his literary activities, report “Literaturna Gazeta.”
This was stated on June 18th by the acting Prosecutor General Oleg Makhnitskiy.
“An investigation is underway in the aspect of the legitimacy of the receipt by the former President Viktor Yanukovich in 2011-2012 of an authorship salary in the sum of 4,5 million dollars from the Donetsk typography ‘Noviy Mir’,” said Makhnitskiy.
As is known, just in 2011 the JSC “Publishing house ‘Noviy Mir’” (city of Donetsk) paid Yanukovich a salary on a sum of 16,4 million UAH for the property rights he had given to the publishing house for his books.
In 2012 Yanukovich received 15 million 551 thousand UAH worth of salary for his book.
A year ago Ukrainian oligarch Petro Poroshenko could barely compete to win the Kyiv Mayor elections, now he is the President of Ukraine. He won in the first round over Yulia Timoshenko herself. Who is the person that became President of Ukraine? Pavel Sheremet sketched a human and political portrait of the new Ukrainian President.
The process of resource regrouping is starting on the political map of Ukraine. While some political groups are trying to hold on to their positions awaiting possible perturbations, others are diversifying risks by creating new political powers. While the opposers of the Verkhovna Rada disbandment are scaring the electorate with the looming enemy, the representatives of the former associates of Viktor Yanukovich’s, who are hiding in Russia, are overly lobbying their own interests through the creation of new groups in the session hall.
Meanwhile an active process of new political powers being “born” by representatives of the old government is underway outside of the Verkhovna Rada. Within the Rada itself, the possible participants of the early parliamentary elections are starting to emerge: Petro Poroshenko’s block and the return of Yulia Timoshenko’s block.
Section “Bravo” of the group “Information Resistance” continues examining documents from Mezhygirya, which we have at our disposal. Earlier we have published documents that illustrated the difficult relations the former owner of Yanukovich’s property had with animals bought for state funds. It turned out that Yanukovich’s co-habitant was exemplary in her love for animals – the sister of his cook, a middle-aged blond from Yenakiyevo Liubov Polezhai.
After Petro Poroshenko’s sure victory already in the first round of the presidential race, the attention of the Ukrainian society turned out to be drawn not only to the new head of state, but to his wife as well. Maryna Poroshenko’s appearance and image are being studied by journalists as if under a microscope. “Fakty” decided to remember what all wives of Ukrainian Presidents looked like and what they have been remembered for.
The former president has issued another statement from Rostov-on-Don.
Today the Russian mass media published another text address from former president of Ukraine and fugitive Viktor Yanukovych. In his statement, he talks about bad signs for the early career of the new government in Ukraine and, in particular, new president Petro Poroshenko.
