Donetsk separatists promise to leave after Maidan is dispersed

Donetsk separatists announced they will not leave administrative buildings until Maidan protesters are dispersed on Kyiv’s Maidan.

So said the co-chairman of the so-called ‘People’s Republic of Donetsk,’ Denys Pushylin, Espreso.TV reported, citing the Russian service of BBC.

He accused the Ukrainian authorities of failing to carry out the agreements made in Geneva a few days ago. According to the leader of the separatists, before compromises can be discussed, Kyiv “has to release the seized buildings, disarm illegal formations –  the National Guard and Right Sector – and to liberate political prisoners.”

In addition, Pushylin denied their involvement in the dissemination of anti-Semitic leaflets and called them “a provocation.”

“There were leaflets against Jews, against businessmen, against foreign students. Quite unprofessional work. There’s a sign: ‘People’s Governor Pushylin.’ But neither I nor anybody else has called me that. The stamp was made in Photoshop and it does not match the size of ours. And the text is too stupidly written to be taken seriously,” said the leader of the separatists.

As reported earlier, the SBU is investigating the distribution of provocative anti-Semitic leaflets on behalf of the ‘People’s Republic of Donetsk’ in Donetsk.
